IOP patients participate in at least nine hours of therapy each week. You’ll meet with medical professionals, work through one-on-one sessions with your therapist, and attend skills-based group therapy sessions focused on developing strategies for everyday sober living.

Using Insurance for Outpatient Rehab

The Recovery Village Indianapolis collaborates with a wide range of national and local insurance providers. We’re equipped to verify your insurance coverage or explore private payment alternatives with you.

How long does intensive outpatient rehab last?

Intensive outpatient rehab typically lasts a few weeks, though the duration can vary based on individual needs and progress.

Is drug or alcohol detox part of intensive outpatient rehab?

No, medical detox is not included in an IOP. Those requiring detox must complete it separately before starting intensive outpatient care.

Do intensive outpatient rehab programs effectively work?

Yes, IOPs assist clients in transitioning from residential care to living independently while receiving outpatient treatment, reducing the risk of relapse and promoting successful recovery.

Is transportation provided for IOP rehab?

No, transportation to and from IOP appointments is the responsibility of the individual, unless they live onsite at the facility during their IOP care.

How can I pay for intensive outpatient rehab?

Insurance may cover some or all of the costs, with copays and deductibles possibly applicable. Private payment plans are also available for those without insurance.

Will attending rehab jeopardize my job?

Legal protections exist for employees attending rehab, and IOP appointments can often be scheduled around work commitments.
