Candace Frierson serves as Director of Nursing at The Recovery Village Indianapolis, where she leads nursing operations and clinical teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered behavioral healthcare. With over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare administration, and nursing leadership, she is dedicated to fostering clinical excellence, improving patient outcomes, and supporting compassionate care for individuals on their recovery journey.
Before joining The Recovery Village Indianapolis, Frierson served as Vice President, Hospital Administrator, and Chief Nurse Executive for Community Health Network, overseeing nursing and allied health services for a 161-bed hospital and behavioral health programs across an integrated healthcare system. Throughout her career, she has led initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, crisis services, workforce engagement, and operational excellence. She has also held senior leadership positions with Kaiser Permanente, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and Deaconess Hospital.
Frierson earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Capella University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has served as adjunct faculty for Indiana University School of Nursing since 2012.
